Artist's Comments ZEUS AFRODITA Hera, esposa de Zeus y reina de los dioses olímpicos. Caracterizada por su furia y ansias causadas por las constantes infidelidades de su marido. Majestuosa y solemne, diosa del matrimonio, el sacrificio y la fidelidad. La reina Hera tenía un trono de marfil, al que se llegaba subiendo tres escalones. Cuclillos de oro y hojas de sauce decoraban el respaldo, y una luna llena colgaba sobre el. Hera se sentaba sobre una piel de vaca [...] "Dioses y héroes de la antigua Grecia", Robert Graves Pues esta sería mi representación de Hera. Ya lo tenía empezado a más de un 50% el año pasado, pero bueno, lo consideraré el primero del 2008. Como en los anteriores dioses, el trono está diseñado en base a la descripción de este libro, y la representación de la diosa es completamente personal. Teniendo en cuenta cómo se la caracteriza, pensé que hacerla en un ambiente nocturno, oscuro y lluvioso sería idóneo para darle ese toque malévolo que desprende su personalidad. Por el momento voy a pausar el tema de los dioses griegos aquí. Tal vez vuelva a retomarlo en un futuro, cuando esté más inspirado y tenga buenas ideas. The design of the throne has been made taking a paragraph of “Greek Gods and Heroes” by Robert Graves as reference. However, the design of the goddess is completely my personal view. I thought that making it in a night, dark and rainy would be appropriate to give that evil touch of her personality. At the moment I am going to take a break about the Greek gods. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Does a bear Poo in the Woods?
Yes he does.
No se parece para nada a muchas de las reinterpretaciones que he visto de ella. Ese cabello rizado y negro, la vestimenta blanca, la piel morena y los ojos poseidos la hacen muy original. Su mirada te dice que quiere matarte (*o*). Pero que bien que hayas colocado plumas de pavo real bajo su trono. Muchos olvidan que ella adoraba esas plumas y que por eso ese era una de sus símbolos.
*P.D. Con este dibujo no creo que Zeus se atreva a serle infiel de nuevo. XD
